Corey + Katy | Fredericksburg, VA Intimate Wedding
Corey and Katy got married in a beautiful intimate ceremony with only their immediate families present on a breezy early Spring day in Fredericksburg, Virginia. They had planned to have their ceremony and reception in June but Corona changed all of that. Katy is a teacher and she was fully working from home and Corey was finishing up his Bachelor’s totally online…all because of Corona. So they chatted with their families who were totally on board, and reached out to me to see if I would be up for photographing their wedding in a little bit of a different way. And my answer? ABSOLUTELY!! Intimate ceremonies/elopements are so different than big weddings, but they are so so special. They were able to plan their day however they wanted. Katy’s family came in from Front Royal and both Katy and Corey got ready in Corey’s parents’ house (without seeing each other), drove over to the beautiful ceremony site (a church friend’s side yard), did a first touch and prayed together, and then got married! We did a few family portraits and then I whisked Katy and Corey away to an awesome portrait location to capture their bride and groom portraits. It was short and sweet, but perfect for them. I’m so grateful I was able to share in and capture their special day. I hope you enjoy their photos as much as I enjoyed taking them (I think I even squealed out of excitement a few times lol).
