frequently asked questions
What can i expect during my time as a portrait photography client?
Once you have chosen a package and we have agreed to a date, time, and location for your photos, I will send over a contract and invoice for 25% of your session price. When you send the signed contract and your non-refundable initial payment, your date and time will be officially reserved on my calendar!
Prior to your session, I will send you links to a few blogs that I’ve done that will help you prepare for your session with me as far as what to wear and how to plan for your session. Doing these things will make sure your session goes as smoothly as possible!
Your final payment will be due no later than one week prior to your session.
After your session, you can expect to receive your images in 2-4 weeks. Sessions are always sent as a digital gallery, enabling you to download all of the photos to your computer, a thumb drive, or an external hard drive of your choice!
Do I have to make a down payment?
Yes, your 25% initial payment reserves your time on my calendar. WHile it is non-refundable, it is transferrable should it rain or snow on your initial portrait date. Trust me, I don’t want to take pictures in the pouring rain any more than you do!
How will I get my pictures?
All photos are delivered via an online photo gallery which will allow you to download the gallery or individual photos to your phone or computer. When I send your gallery, I also send instructions for downloading :) I recommend saving the photos to multiple different forms of media (computer, external hard drive, thumb drive, etc.) just in case anything gets lost or corrupted. There will also be an option to purchase prints from your online gallery!
Do I have to buy prints from you?
There will be options to purchase prints directly from your digital gallery if you are interested in getting your favorite photos printed by a professional photography print shop. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the prints purchased directly from your gallery will go to support my business. You do have the option, though, to print your photos with any print shop you wish. If you choose to print them on your own, I do recommend choosing a professional print shop rather than a local store.
