Kelsey and Ryan waited over TWO YEARS for their dream wedding. They got engaged in 2019 and decided to get married at the courthouse with their immediate family in July of that year. The plan was to have the party in July of 2020, exactly one year after they got married for real and on their dating anniversary. How perfect would that have been, right?? Well COVID had other plans. While the state of virginia was not under any type of restrictions at that point, Ryan is stationed in Florida and was unable to travel back to virginia for the wedding. We found this out mere weeks before the wedding and it was so sad. They had to cancel for 2020 and weren’t even sure if they were going to be able to reschedule because of ryan’s training. Well, it turned out they were able to make it work and all of their vendors were available for their new date!!

What a beautiful and memorable day it was! I’ve known Kelsey since she and my sister were in elementary school and her dad and my dad coached their softball team together. It was such an honor to get to capture her marrying truly the love of her life. Many people throughout the day mentioned how Kelsey had told them (even before they started dating!!) that she was going to marry ryan. And they did. You can tell how much they love each other in the way they look at each other…I may have teared up a few times while editing these and I definitely teared up a few times during their day.

It’s always an honor to get to capture such an important day in the lives of my brides and grooms but it means just a little more when you’ve known them for such a long time. Kesley and Ryan, thank you for letting me capture your day, I hope you looove your photos. Also give beamer some pets for me :)
