Wedding Day Emergency Kit

It’s almost your wedding day! You’re so close you can taste it and you want to be prepared for everything (even if you hope none of it happens). One thing my mom prepared for us for the day of our wedding was an “emergency” kit. And while we only used a few of the things in it, it gave me peace of mind knowing that if anyone forgot anything, we had it covered.

So what are some things that you should have in your emergency kit? Well I’m glad you asked.

emergency kit contents

  1. Protein bars. Someone (likely a flower girl, or maybe you) is bound to get hungry some time between lunch and the ceremony and they’re good to have on hand for if you don’t feel like eating but know you need something in your stomach.

  2. Hairspray, extra bobby pins, brush/comb. I think these go without saying. No one wants a hair emergency that can’t be fixed on their wedding day.

  3. Tissues. Because, trust me, if your family is anything like mine, there will be a lot of crying.

  4. Band-aids. Because everyone had the best intentions of breaking in their shoes before wedding day but we all know how that goes…

  5. Deodorant. Chances are at least one bridesmaid or groomsman forgets theirs.

  6. Mints/gum. Maybe you don’t want to be chomping on gum throughout your ceremony but you do want your mouth to be minty fresh for your first kiss as husband and wife!

  7. Tampons. Better safe than sorry.

  8. Safety pins. You really never know when you’ll need one of these…and when you do, it’s usually a someone’s-underwear-may-be-showing-if-you-don’t-have-one emergency.

There you have it! If you have any suggestions of things out of your emergency kit that you used at your wedding, feel free to leave them in the comments below!
