2019 Year End Wrap Up
Y’all, 2019 has been so good to us. I “officially” started my business, shot four of my own weddings, second shot another three, and so many more things I will talk about here in a second.
If you don’t know me personally yet, you probably don’t know that I’m a serious numbers person. I’m talking I LOVE numbers. So here is a year-end wrap up in numbers:
7992 photos delivered
4 weddings as primary shooter, 3 as second shooter
10 plane rides
6 countries explored
3 states visited
12 doggos fostered
3 camping trips taken
This past year has definitely been one of growth for me as a person and as a photographer. I’ve finally figured out the style of both shooting and editing that I LOVE and which makes me love this job even more. I have learned a lot about wedding days that I’ll be sharing in a separate blog post soon! And I’ve gotten to love on so many amazing couples. Y’all and your love is really why I love what I do. I’m so grateful to all of you who have allowed me to capture your most precious moments - and even ones where you thought your children were going crazy but the photos turned out cute anyway.
I’m looking forward to 2020 and my word of the year is CONSISTENCY. That looks like consistency in my personal life - spending consistent time with Jesus, consistently spending INTENTIONAL time with my husband, consistently eating healthy and working out, among other things - as well as consistency in this business. I want to post to social media consistently, with images that are true to my style. I want to post to this blog a lot more consistently than I did last year - and work blog posts into my workflow. I also want to be consistent with gallery delivery times. I know the busier I get, the harder it will be to deliver galleries I love, and I know you’ll love, on a timeline that I’m happy with, but it is a goal to stay consistent with that as well. Have I said consistent enough times in this paragraph for you? I digress.
If you stuck with me this far, thank you. As a reward for your efforts, here are some of my favorite images from 2019 (I have limited myself to one photo from each stop on our cruise so you’ll come back and read when I FINALLY post those blogs lol)
