Mr. and Mrs. Leis | Central Virginia Farm Wedding

Austin and Sami’s central Virginia barn wedding was emotional (and fun!) from start to finish. Their family and bridal party welcomed me like I was one of their own from the very beginning. When I found out Sami would be changing into camo crocs for the reception, I knew I was right at home (and I wished I had brought mine so we could match!).

Sami’s details were super personal and super sweet. Her bouquet, her sisters’ bouquets, and her nephews’ boutonnieres all had charms on them representing their grandparents who are no longer with them. Sami’s bouquet also had a handkerchief from her great great great grandmother, which had also been in the bouquets of all the other brides in her family. The florals were done by a family friend and were just jaw-dropping—I still have one of their centerpieces on the end table by my couch.

Some people say you can’t get emotion out of a groom without a first look, but let me tell you…Austin proved that wrong!! Just wait until you see his reaction when he first saw his bride. It was so stinkin’ sweet.

Austin and Sami…thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding, it was a blessing to spend your day with you!
